An opportunity to help with church growth in Australia

Sustained church growth in Australia is vital as we enter the 21st Century. One of the elements for continued church growth is the ongoing resourcing of evangelists, preachers, teachers, workers, elders and students in Australia.

For many years, congregations in the USA and groups like the Bell Trust have helped provide financial support to ensure a work force of these people is sustained in Australia. Although we are eternally grateful to the Christians in the USA for such support, it is important that we in Australia develop the ability to provide and generate support ourselves.

It is out of this desire, combined with the wish of some, to leave a 'parting gift' in their estates for the support of full-time workers in the church of Christ; that a small group of Christians decided to establish what is now known as the Australian church of Christ Evangelistic Trust.

The Trust commenced in November, 2003 and is not the work of a congregation, but rather the work of five Christians who want to see the Lord's church grow in Australia. It is hoped that as the Trust grows, other Christians will also be involved as Trustees, Advisory Board Members, regular donors and grant recipients.

We pray that God will bless this work and that His church will grow in Australia.
